The forward & backward bends and spinal twists we have been working with over the last couple of weeks are not only good for toning, strengthening and massaging into the organs of elimination, but they also work with gravity to squeeze the tissues and pump the lymph through the lymphatic system.
The lymph nodes that store the lymphatic fluid are located throughout the body. This week, we add Garudanasana (Eagle Pose) to the mix to target the areas of the body that contain the largest concentration of lymph nodes and give them a good squeeze!
As part of this progression, we also begin chanting the Vajrasattwa Mantra in unison. See the additional resources below for that practice.
