The importance of putting our ego aside and practising in a way that serves us best in the moment of practice is often the challenge as the end of this month of practice approaches.

When we are offered opportunities to increase the intensity of our practice, depending on our personality, the temptation can be to extend ourselves beyond the limits of self-care and into a “no pain, no gain” mindset.

While it can be good to explore our limitations, it’s important we are always prepared to wind a practice back to a level that ensures we are practising safely.
